Tons of plastic chairs are dumped every year due to decline in their physical performance, but lots of them present only minor faults like worn surfaces, making them undesirable and unusable.
We started in 2007 recycling old furniture that we found in the street and 'Pop UP' children chairs was our fist approach to plastic stackable chairs Since then it has been an on going process of recycling and upholstering them. Shaping the foam to the chairs, we re-upholstered them to achieve a flawless line of the chair, and then we created the patterns. The covers are made using a combination of two fabrics, plain and pattern, that juxtaposing the main body to the facing, emphasize the outline of each chair. The replaceable upholstery-cover allow users to easily change their appearance, renew their surface and upgrade them both visually and socially. |
