Tons of plastic chairs are dumped every year due to decline in their physical performance, but lots of them present only minor faults like worn surfaces, making them undesirable and unusable. Pop UP children chairs was our fist approach to plastic stackable chairs and since 2014 it has been an on going process of recycling and upholstering them.
Our latest collaboration at LDF 18 “Stack and Stripes” with Ella Doran Design Studio, has brought a fantastic selection of design fabrics from which buyers can choose their favourite combinations of pattern and colours. Both our companies share a common interest in creating environment conscious products and for the last 10 years have collaborated in numerous projects and events. For this chair we developed a removable padded cover, playing with its odd shape and leaving visible some parts of the plastic blue shell. |
